faqs

Vietnam Visa Link can issue a visa type called E-visa to foreigners through an electronic system. This visa type allows a single or multiple entry to Vietnam for up to 90 days. Vietnam E-visa is valid for maximum of 90 days, single or multiple entry.

  • Normal: We will process your application within 3 business days after we receive all the necessary documents from you.
  • Fast service: We can process your application within 24 hours for an extra fee. Please indicate clearly on your envelope or in your application package that you are requesting Fast service or URGENT processing to avoid delays.

To prolong your stay in Vietnam, you can apply for a visa extension that matches the original validity of your visa. The duration of the extension can be 15 days, 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months, depending on the type of visa you have. The cost of the extension will also vary accordingly. At present, you can extend your 1-month and 3-month tourist visas by another month. However, the visa extension policies may change over time, so it is advisable to contact visa agents before applying for an extension.

E-visa and On-Arrival visa are two types of visas that have different requirements and procedures. For E-visa, you need to apply online before your travel and get an electronic authorization. For On-Arrival visa, you do not need to apply beforehand, but you have to get a visa stamp at the destination airport. The availability of E-visa and On-Arrival visa depends on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some countries offer both options, while others only accept one or the other.

The terms visa rejection and refusal are often used as synonyms, but they have different meanings. Both mean the application was not approved, but the reasons are different.

  • Visa rejection for Vietnam—the eVisa application has errors, such as wrong information, photo problems, etc. These can usually be fixed.
  • Visa refusal for Vietnam—the applicant does not qualify for the eVisa, for example their country is not eligible.

Applicants can submit a new eVisa request online if the previous one was rejected. If it was refused, they will have to contact a Vietnamese embassy.

You can obtain an e-visa from the official government website by paying 25 USD for a single entry visa or 50 USD for a multiple entry visa. The processing time is 3-7 working days.

  • One of the costs associated with the Vietnam Visa on Arrival (VoA) is the stamping fee, which is separate from the visa fee that is paid online when applying for the approval letter.
  • The stamping fee is required to be paid at the immigration counter when you arrive at the Vietnam border crossing or airport of your choice, where you will receive the VoA.
  • The electronic visa (eVisa) for Vietnam has a different process, as it is obtained through an online application and a single payment. After this, there is no charge for stamping the passport. This allows travelers to avoid paying a fee for the Vietnam visa stamp.
